You might have just finished with a meal or a
snack some minutes ago and after relishing it, what was the next thing that
clicked your mind? Was it, what's coming up next???
I
agree, food is one of the basic needs of all living beings, but with
this, I do not mean that it is ok to think about food 24*7. What sets us apart
from other living creatures is the ability to think and rationalize.
Have you ever
noticed a change in your food pattern, like unable to feel satiated inspite of
eating more than your regular appetite? I am sure you must have. So, how did
you deal with it? Did u take the simple route of falling prey to the
temptations and gorging in those extra calories, or did u opt for the harder
one of controlling the harsh cravings and rolled over on the bed all night.
There are several
reasons that trigger overeating, the commonest ones are stated below.
1. Cold Weather
2. Inadequate Sleep
3. Physical Stress
4. Mental Stress
5. Clinical Condition like Diabetes Mellitus
6. Premenstrual
Syndrome (PMS)
Hence, it would be wise enough to think of the
above factors and take corrective measures before your overeating becomes a
habit. After all, nobody likes to see their waistline increasing in size!!
I will be dealing with each of the factors separately in my following
blogs, as each needs to be dealt with in a different ways.
